Cardinals and Chiefs Game Preview
We aren’t exactly sure who will suit up for the Arizona Cardinals, but you can expect Kansas City starters to play most of the first half. Kanas City Chiefs’ head coach Andy Reid told the media that his starters will most likely play the first half of the game, with his second and third-string players finishing out the second half of the game. This means Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Tyreek Hill are expected to take the field for the Chiefs’ offense. And for their defense, we will see Tyrann Mathieu and Chris Jones in the first half.
As for the Arizona Cardinals, they looked good in their first preseason game with a win over the Dallas Cowboys. Kyler Murray, Deandre Hopkins, and J.J. Watt didn’t play, but we were able to see first round draft pick Zaven Collins work his magic on defense.
Things will be a little different in the game against the Chiefs, as Murray is expected to play some snaps on Friday. Watt is likely to sit out again, but he ensures fans that he will be ready to go for the season opener on September 12 against the Tennessee Titans.
Running backs Eno Benjamin and Chase Edmonds are expected to get plenty of snaps as they fight for a top spot on the team. We can also expect kicker Matt Prater to get plenty of chances to score points after kicking the game winning field goal last week.
