Sightline Payments Launch Mobile Loyalty Program at Scottsdale Casinos

Casino loyalty programs have been around since the 1980s and are a staple marketing tactic to increase engagement. Talking Stick Resort, and Casino Arizona recently joined the ranks of casinos that offer customized mobile loyalty programs in an agreement with Sightline Payment.

With over 70 gaming partners in the mobile, retail, and lottery markets, Las Vegas-based Sightline’s mobile loyalty platform already reaches over three million customers. Within Arizona, Sightline now has partnerships with 21 gaming operators.

Talking Stick Resort and Casino Arizona

The launch of a customized mobile loyalty program comes at an opportune time for Scottsdale’s Talking Stick Resort and Casino Arizona, as Arizona sports betting became legal in Sept. 2021. Plus, the biggest sports betting event of the year, the Super Bowl, will be played at State Farm Stadium in Glendale in February 2023.

“With the rise of sports betting and expanded gaming in general in Arizona, we needed a mobile engagement solution that could meet the growing demand and expectations of our patrons,” Ramon Martinez, the public relations director for both casinos, said. “Mobile+ makes it easy not only for us to communicate with our patrons right on their smartphone, but it also dramatically improves the customer experience.”

The Salt River Pima–Maricopa Indian Community owns Talking Stick Resort and Casino Arizona, both located in Scottdale. Talking Stick is a AAA Four Diamond rated destination resort. The upscale property includes a hotel, restaurants, entertainment venues, a 240,000-square-foot gaming floor, and a sports betting window located within the Sage Bar.

Casino Arizona has a 100,000 square feet gaming floor with slot machines, tables, plus a separate bingo hall. The casino’s facilities also include a retail sportsbook located within its CAZ Sports Bar. The sports betting partner is OpenBet. Casino Arizona will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2023.

Loyalty Program at Scottsdale Casinos

The sister casinos already have a card-based loyalty program called Player Rewards Club. However, the customized Mobile+ platform will enable the customers to access their Player Rewards account on their phones, receive customized offers and promos, make dining and hotel reservations, and redeem their rewards for casino perks. Customers will also earn loyalty points for any purchases made via the app, including concert tickets and hotel rooms. In addition, Talking Stick Resort can improve its hotel customer service with the app’s ability to include virtual key cards for rooms and check-in/check-out.

“We’re thrilled to announce our launch at Talking Stick Resort and Casino Arizona to help them better engage with their patrons on a more personal level,” Sightline SVP of Sales Kirk Olson said in a press release. “The Mobile+ platform has become the market leader across the country for good reason. Namely, it allows the operator to craft offers and promotions based on data and not guesswork.”

With the Mobile+ app, the casinos can provide cashless interactive gaming experiences for customers, on and off-site.

On November 11, an anonymous player at Talking Stick Resort hit the jackpot on the Wheel of Fortune slot machine, winning more than $1.3 million.
