If you thought PointsBet was coming to Arizona, you technically aren’t wrong. It was originally reported PointsBet and Yavapai-Apache Nation (PointBet’s in-state partner) were awarded a sports betting license, but the Arizona Department of Gaming rescinded the license soon after. The ADG released a statement saying there was an “administrative error” made, resulting in PointsBet not being able to operate in the Grand Canyon State.

While there’s no indication of PointsBet entering the market anytime soon, Arizona could expand the number of licenses which would give them another opportunity.

PointsBet Arizona Sportsbook Promo Code December 2024

In most states where PointsBet is legal, it offers a generous opening bonus of up to $1,000 in second chance bet credits. New users can get five credits, up to $50 each for five days, if their first fixed-odds wager settles as a loss. Terms and conditions apply.

Depth

Naturally, PointsBet has plenty of betting markets for all major US professional sports franchises, including the NBA, NFL, MLB, and more. PointsBet is also a great choice for placing college football and basketball bets, which is excellent for Arizona residents as college bets are permitted in this sunny state.

However, don’t expect PointsBet to offer any prop bets for college or other wagers. But it’s not PointsBet’s fault: it’s a rule in the Arizona sports betting industry.

Most importantly, PointsBet offers “PointsBetting,” which is a specialized type of wager that counts how correct or incorrect you are with your bet. This allows you to win or lose progressively rather than outright. These bets are a little more complex than standard, fixed-odds wagers, but they are exciting opportunities for experienced sports bettors.

3.8
Cashout

Fortunately, PointsBet gives you a variety of ways to both deposit and withdraw money from your account. You’ll be able to do this remotely and in person. In total, this mobile sportsbook offers six different ways to deposit money, but only two ways to cash out your winnings: either ACH or e-check transfers, or PayPal. Of course, you can also withdraw your winnings in person from the Cliff Castle Casino Hotel cash cage.

This does put a damper on the app overall, as many other mobile apps allow you to withdraw your winnings with more flexibility.

4.7
App

PointsBet’s mobile app has a minimalist and easy-to-grasp interface with quick access to promotions, in-play betting, and even previews for upcoming sporting events or popular bets. Accessing your betting slip is quick and easy thanks to a dedicated button at the bottom of the screen.

All in all, the PointsBet mobile sportsbook is fantastic, especially since it offers smooth live streaming and in-play betting even on dates with big sporting events and lots of traffic.

4.6
Overall

As you can see, the PointsBet mobile sportsbook is well-designed from start to finish. It’ll be a great addition to the Arizona sports betting market and its special PointsBetting system helps this betting platform stand out from many competitors in this industry.

Is PointsBet Available In Arizona?

Arizona sports bettors have more than 15 mobile apps available to them, but right now PointsBet isn’t one of them. PointsBet announced its intention to enter the Arizona market through a partnership with the Cliff Castle Casino Hotel. Cliff Castle did not, however, receive a license from the Arizona Department of Gaming. It is unclear when PointsBet will join the list of Arizona sports betting apps.

Is PointsBet Legit?

Yes. PointsBet is a legitimate organization because:

  • It has several years of successful operational history so far
  • PointsBet is legal in several US states, meaning it has already been reviewed multiple times
  • It has reached an official agreement with an Arizonan Native American tribe
  • Once live, it will be continually reviewed by the Arizona Department of Gaming
  • PointsBet is enjoyed by millions of people around the world

Why Choose PointsBet Sportsbook Over Illegal Betting Sites?

Illegal betting sites usually have subpar security and don’t have very player-friendly odds. In contrast, PointsBet sportsbook uses high-quality digital security like SSL certification and their odds are player-friendly. With offshore and illegal betting sites, there is also no government oversight meaning these sportsbooks could refuse to honor payouts, sell your information, and commit other shady dealings.

Why Can You Trust PointsBet With Your Money?

PointsBet primarily uses SSL certification and other digital security methods to protect its users’ personal information and money. But you can also trust this sportsbook operator once it becomes available because it will be regularly reviewed by the Arizona Department of Gaming.

Yes. PointsBet, like BetMGM and FanDuel, allows for in-play betting.

Can you sign up for the PointsBet sportsbook from anywhere in Arizona?
