There’s more than one way to enjoy an NFL game. On the surface, Sunday’s game between the Cardinals and Lions in Detroit looks like a lopsided mess. The Cardinals are 7-0 away from Arizona this season, and the Lions have won only one game all year.
Each sportsbook has other options other than the point spread and moneyline. Here are four prop bets to consider as the Cardinals try to bounce back after Monday’s loss.
Tie at Halftime (+1100)
The Detroit Lions are 1-11-1, and the Cardinals have not lost on the road this season. Doesn’t that make you feel like something strange may happen in this game? Like the Lions play tough and stay close?
A $100 bet on a tie game at halftime would net $1,100 from Caesars. The Lions know something about ties. They have one already this season. Outside of their lopsided loss in Denver last weekend, Detroit has played opponents close. They were outscored 72-69 in their four games from Week 10 to Week 13.

Kyler Murray Special (+225)
DraftKings has this weekly special: Kyler Murray to have over 249.5 Passing Yards + over 24.5 Rush Yards + over 0.5 Passing Tds + over 0.5 Rushing TDs.
A $100 bet wins you $225 on that prop bet.
Murray has 250+ yards passing in seven games this season, and the Lions have allowed 270 passing yards per game over their last three games. Ford Field is conducive to a nice passing attack. Opponents are averaging 264.7 passing yards per game in Detroit this season — the seventh most for an NFL venue. Murray is averaging 26.7 yards per game on the ground this season.
As the season wears on, Detroit’s defense may be weary. This prop bet is worth tossing some money at.
Cardinals to Win and Total Points Over 47.5 (+135)
This seems like a no-brainer: Arizona to win the game and the total to exceed 47.5, for +135 at FanDuel.
Last week the Broncos hung 38 on Detroit, whose secondary and linebacker corps looked overmatched. Points are usually flowing at Ford Field, and the Cardinals have averaged 32.8 points per game as the road team. That’s right: The Redbirds are scoring nearly 33 points per game away from home.
Both Teams To Score 20 or More Points (+155)
BetMGM lists a price of +155 that both the Cardinals and Lions will score 20 or more points.
Only twice this season has Detroit scored as many as 20 points. Ouch. That means the Lions’ offense is due, doesn’t it? The Cardinals are allowing fewer than two TDs per game, and have been even more stingy on the road. But, several members of the Arizona defense are banged up: DL Jordan Phillips (thumb) and starting LG Justin Pugh (calf) have missed much of the practices this week so far. CB Robert Alford is expected to miss the game.
