ASU Sun Devils Vs. BYU Cougars Game Preview And Odds

The ASU Sun Devils have started off the season 2-0. But, they also haven’t played a threatening team yet, with wins against Southern Utah and UNLV. So, #23 BYU might be a good test for #19 ASU. If the Devils can keep up their stellar performance from the previous two games, they will be able to take down BYU on Saturday. With Arizona sports betting officially live, wagering on ASU could be a smart move.

BYU Cougars Preview (2-0)

BYU started off the season with impressive wins beating Arizona and Utah. Quarterback Jaren Hall is doing his thing with 149 passing yards, three touchdowns, and 92 rushing yards in BYU’s win against Utah. He also averaged 11 yards per carry. The game against ASU could be a battle of the running quarterbacks.

ASU will need to stop BYU on third down. The Cougars went 11 for 19 on third downs against Utah. But if BYU wants to keep up with the high scoring Devils, Puka Nacua and Tyler Allgeier will need to put up big points. The team does seem to have good depth on offense, with a lot of players getting their hands on the ball in the previous two games. But again, the BYU offense will need to score enough points to compete with the Devils, because BYU’s defense might not be able to stop Jayden Daniels and Rachaad White.

ASU Sun Devils Preview (2-0)

ASU won in week 2 against UNLV. The defense seemed to be nonexistent in the first half of the game. Which can’t be the case when playing against BYU. Luckily, the offense has been impressive and is expected to run all over BYU.

Highly regarded freshman Elijhah Badger is expected to make his debut for the Devils against BYU, which could give him an opportunity to make a name for himself. Jayden Daniels needs to continue to deliver like he has the last two weeks. He has been making smart decisions and using his feet, rushing for 122 yards against UNLV. With Rachaad White and Daniyel Ngata on the offense and scoring points, the Devils should have no problem beating BYU.
