Eggnog…figgy pudding…football in Arizona? So this is Christmas?
Indeed Christmas has a new tradition: Football in the heat. On Saturday the Cardinals will host the Indianapolis Colts in a Christmas Day matchup. By the time they kick off at 5:15 p.m. PT, Santa Claus will have returned his sleigh to the garage in the North Pole, and you should have all the wrapping paper cleared from beneath the tree.
You’ll have plenty of time to get in your bets for the game. Here are some prop bets to consider placing a wager on.

Arizona Cardinals Vs. Indianapolis Colts Prop Bets
Indianapolis Colts To Win by 7-12 Points (+475 at BetMGM Arizona)
- In seven of their eight wins, the Colts have held a margin of victory of 10 or more points. The Colts will win this game, and when they do it will be by at least seven points.
Tie at the End of Regulation (+1300 at Caesars Arizona Sportsbook)
- Do you think trends will continue? Do you believe in the power of three? The Colts have played two OT games this season. Slapping $25 down on a tie game at the end of regulation would net you $325 in winnings.
First Drive Results in Field Goal Made (+390 via DraftKings Arizona)
- According to SportsRadar, three times as many game-opening drives end in a field goal than with a TD. If you think these teams will score quickly, why not take a flyer on this interesting first-possession prop bet?

Game Preview & Pick
The Cardinals (10-4) will be six days removed from a puzzling and embarrassing loss to the Lions in Detroit. Not once during their 30-12 loss did the Cardinals look like they had a fighting chance. Not once did the offense click, and not once did the defense rise to the occasion. As a result, Arizona tumbled from the No. 1 seed in the NFC to No. 4.
The AFC South is up for grabs, and the Colts (8-6) have a shot at winning it. Last week they thumped New England and continued their hard-charging bid to return to the playoffs for the third time in four years. Indianapolis started the season with a thud, losing their first three games. Since then, the Colts are 8-1 in regulation games. Their only losses have come in overtime games. Since October, they have played nearly flawless football, and they offer a tough matchup for the Cardinals.
Our Pick: Colts To Win On the Road
The Colts, who are 1- or 1.5-point underdogs on the point spread and anywhere from -110 to +102 on the moneyline at various sportsbooks, are quietly one of the hottest teams in the NFL. They have both their offense and defense humming along. The Cardinals looked lackluster last Sunday, and I suspect they will fall behind early in this Christmas game and never make it up.
