Caesars Sportsbook At Chase Field In Arizona

The Arizona Diamondbacks have a partnership with Caesars Sportsbook. This partnership goes beyond Caesars mobile app being available to Arizona bettors, as there will be a full-scale retail sportsbook built at Chase Field, home of the Diamondbacks. According to the Diamondbacks, the sportsbook will be open in early 2022. Earlier reports said the sportsbook would be ready for the beginning of the 2022 MLB season, Senior Director of Media Relations Patrick O’Connell recently told ArizonaCasinos there is no set date.

In the meantime, sports bettors can get in on the action before the sportsbook bar officially opens. Betting windows #21-25 at the ballpark in downtown Phoenix are now accepting bets. There will also be five betting kiosks installed on the north side of the plaza.

Caesars Sportsbook At Chase Field

The Caesars Sportsbook at Chase Field will be a nearly 20,000 square foot, two-story venue. It will be located at the former Game 7 Grill space. The venue will have indoor and outdoor seating and will feature wall-to-wall TV screens, betting kiosks, a bar, a restaurant, and seating for fans who want to enjoy sports action and place bets.

The restaurant will feature a concept from celebrity chef Guy Fieri.

Customers will not need to have tickets for a Diamondbacks game to enter the Caesars Chase Field Sportsbook, as there will be a separate secure entrance. Fans who do have tickets for the game can also enter and enjoy the amenities. It is worth noting, however, betting will not be available during Diamondbacks home games. Fans at the game will have to use the Caesars sportsbook app if they want to place any wagers.

This will be the first Caesars retail sportsbook location in a professional sports venue in the United States (MLB, NHL, NBA, or NFL). The company plans more retail locations in the future.

Bettors can download the Caesars Sportsbook mobile app to claim first bet insurance worth up to $1,100. This means if your first wager results in a loss, Caesars will match your bet in site credit.

What Types Of Bets Are Taken At Retail Sportsbooks In Arizona?

With retail and online sports betting having launched recently in Arizona, there are many options for bettors in the state.

Moneyline

The moneyline wager is betting on which team will win a match. Payouts/odds are a little higher for the underdog and are represented by a plus symbol. Conversely, payouts/odds for the favorite to win are typically lower and are represented by a minus symbol.

Futures Bets

A futures bet is simple: choose an outcome for some future event and bet on the likelihood of it happening. For example, select the winner of the next World Series in April, or choose the team that will win the Super Bowl before the NFL season starts, and so on.

In Arizona, and at the Caesars sportsbook at Chase Field, you can place futures bets on many different sports.

Prop Bets at Arizona Retail Sportsbooks

Prop or proposition bets allow you to wager on an aspect of the game without choosing a winner or loser of the contest. Instead, you bet on whether a specific event will occur in that game or match.

In Arizona, you can place prop bets, but you are not allowed to place that type of bet on college games.

Examples of prop bets:

  • Whether a basketball player will get a triple-double
  • Whether a football player will score a touchdown
  • Whether a hockey player will record an assist or get a hat trick
  • Whether a baseball player will get X number of hits in a game

Betting on the Spread

Do you like underdogs? Then point spread betting is for you. Spread bets are when you wager that an underdog team will lose by less than a given amount of points or win a game, OR that a favorite will win the game by more than a certain number of runs or points.

Over/Under Bets

Over/under bets are when you bet on how many points will be scored in a single game by both teams. You can wager whether there will be more or fewer points/runs scored than the total posted by the sportsbook.

Parlays

You’ll be able to place parlay bets with Caesars and most other sportsbooks in Arizona. A parlay is a sequential bet that involves multiple successive wagers. To win a parlay bet, you must win each leg of the bet, consecutively.

Other Live Sportsbooks in Arizona

In addition to the Caesars sportsbook at Chase Field, other retail sportsbooks across the state are now open. More are planned to open in the near future as well.
