The Arizona State Sun Devils moved up in the rankings after beating Stanford in week 6. Now, ranked at 18, the Devils look to beat the second top team in the Pac 12 South, the Utah Utes.
ASU is 3-0 in the division and the Utes are 2-0. The Devils are on a roll and put on a show last Friday against Stanford, racking up a total of 430 yards. They only had five penalties, which is a huge accomplishment for ASU.

Utah Utes Preview (4-1)
Utah also dominated in week 6, beating USC 42 to 26. The Utes put up 486 yards with 306 passing yards. So Arizona State’s defense will need to continue to be stellar and put pressure on Utah’s quarterback Cameron Rising. Rising threw three touchdowns with no interceptions and also had a rushing TD. Running back Tavion Thomas will challenge ASU’s defense after finishing last week’s game with 113 rushing yards and a touchdown. As for the defense, they did have two sacks against USC so we can expect them to put pressure on Jayden Daniels. Good thing Daniels knows how to get out of trouble. Utah had only two penalties last week. ASU will really need to play smart to make sure penalties won’t end up hurting them.
The game will be a complete shootout and we can expect a high-scoring game. It will all come down to which defense can shut down the offense.
#18 Arizona State Sun Devils Preview (5-1)
The Devils offense came out on fire against Stanford, but the defense was a little slow in the first quarter. Luckily, they picked it up in the last three quarters sacking the quarterback five times. On top of that, Stanford’s quarterback threw three interceptions, the first time throwing one all season. The defense also held running back Nathaniel Peat to 32 rushing yards.
Even though Jayden Daniels didn’t throw any touchdowns, he did make an impact on the game. He rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown. Running back Rachaad White also had a touchdown and rushed for 96 yards.
Now, DraftKings sportsbook has the Devils t +140 to win the Pac-12 Championship. FanDuel has the best odds for ASU winning the FBS Championship at +6000.
