Arizona Rattlers Advance To The United Bowl

It has been an exciting year for Arizona sports fans. First, the legalization of sports betting was approved, with a launch date set for September 9. Then, the Phoenix Suns returned to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1993. And now, the Arizona Rattlers are heading back to the United Bowl.

The Success Of The Rattlers

The Rattlers have been around since 1992, being part of the Arena Football League until 2016, when they went on to join the Indoor Football League. In 2017, the team’s first season in the IFL, they won the United Bowl. And now the Rattlers are looking for their second IFL title.

A little fun fact about the United Bowl, which is considered the Indoor Football League’s Super Bowl. It has been played since 2009 and the Sioux Falls Storm won six straight IFC titles from 2011 to 2016. The Rattlers stopped the streak when they won it in 2017. In 2019, the Rattlers and the Sioux Falls Storm were battling it out again at the United Bowl, this time with the Rattlers losing 56 to 53. The 2020 season was canceled due to COVID-19.

This season has already been successful for the Rattlers, taking out their rival in the first round of the playoffs. On September 12, the Rattlers will take on the Massachusetts Pirates in the United Bowl.

The Rattlers And Sports Betting

This has been a big year for the Rattlers, not only have they returned after a season off, and are returning to the United Bowl, but they also inked a partnership with BetRivers.

BetRivers is expected to launch its sports betting app on September 9. As for a retail sportsbook, we anticipate BetRivers will pair up with the Rattlers to build a sportsbook bar near the Footprint Center, home of the Arizona Rattlers.

The Phoenix Suns, who also play at the Footprint Center, partnered with FanDuel and the sportsbook is already in the middle of constructing a retail location. FanDuel hopes to open by the start of the NBA season, which is the end of October.

Until more retail sportsbooks announce locations and opening dates, sports bettors will be able to wager on the Rattlers, as well as on the Arizona Cardinals, Arizona Diamondbacks, and college football starting at 12:01AM on September 9. Make sure to check out the early registration bonus offers before the launch!
