Arizona Cardinals Vs. Los Angeles Rams Betting Odds For NFC West Showdown

It is an NFC West showdown on Sunday, with the Los Angeles Rams and Arizona Cardinals fighting for the top of the division. Both teams are 3-0 after dominating performances in the first three weeks of the season. Even though the Cardinals have been playing some of their best football, it is going to be a battle for the red birds as the Rams are clearly the favorite, especially since they are at home.

This is the first division game for both, so it is a big game for both teams since the NFC West is such a competitive division.

Cardinals Game Preview (3-0)

Arizona had a slow start against the Jags in week 3, but they were able to step it up in the second half and win in Jacksonville. If the team can keep the offense in sync, they might be able to overcome the Rams dynamic defense.

The one thing that Cardinals have is a dual-threat with Kyler Murray, who can run and who can also pass. Having wide receivers Deandre Hopkins and A.J. Green also helps. Running back James Conner had a game against the Jaguars and if he can keep up that momentum, the Cardinals offense could be unstoppable. The offensive line will have to show up on Sunday to protect Murray from Aaron Donald and the Rams defense, who had three sacks last week against their win over the Bucs.

It will come down to the Cardinals putting up enough points to keep up with the Rams and the defense putting pressure on Matthew Stafford to force turnovers. The Rams had only one penalty in week 3 and the Cardinals had seven, so that is something Arizona will need to improve on if they want to secure the win.

Rams Game Preview (3-0)

Matthew Stafford is fitting in well with his new team and the chemistry he has with Cooper Kupp is undeniable. On top of a strong offense, the defense is doing everything right.

I admit that the Los Angeles Rams look scary, which isn’t what I expected. The Rams were one of the early favorites to win the Super Bowl by sports betting apps and now I understand why there was so much hype. As of now, they are the team to beat in the NFC.

But beating the Cardinals isn’t going to be a walk in the park for the Rams. If Chandler Jones can put on a performance like he did in week 1, he could be the answer to stopping the offense. But the Rams do have a 66 percent success rate on third down, something the Cardinals will need to stop.

The defense allowed Tampa Bay only 35 rushing yards in week 3, so the defense might be the reason the Rams end up winning this game. And with only one penalty in the win against the Buccaneers, the Rams are clearly playing smart and hard.

NFC West Division Odds

As we all know, the NFC West is an extremely competitive division making it even more difficult to reach the playoffs. And with the Cardinals facing the Rams this week and the 49ers next week, winning these games are huge for Arizona.

NFC Division Winner Odds By BetMGM

  • Rams +110
  • 49ers +275
  • Cardinals +350
  • Seahawks +600

As for MVP, most sportsbooks now have Kyler Murray leading to win it at +750. Patrick Mahomes is at +800 along with Matthew Stafford.

Cardinals have a tough schedule ahead with back-to-back division games and then a match-up against the Browns. But if they can beat the Rams this Sunday, it could be a solid start to them having a shot at making the playoffs this year.
